Maintained laboratory operations by cleaning, data and sample organization, and mobile phase preparation for HPLC.
Responsible for outside testing, associated correspondence, and ordering lab supplies.
Analyzed materials via infrared spectroscopy, Karl Fisher, thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray diffraction.
Followed cGMP guidelines for analysis, documentation, organization, and safety requirements.
HEAT EXCHANGER MODELING: GREEN HYDROGEN FUEL OPTIMIZATION
October 2021 - May 2022
Worked at green hydrogen fuel startup Advanced Ionics, and created a thermodynamic model to determine the behavior of heat exchangers in an overall hydrogen electrolyzer system.
Quickly picked up on advanced mechanical engineering concepts to interpret the resulting information.
Learned SciLab from scratch for model design and incorporated Python for data presentation.
Synthesized various electrolyzer compounds and modified syntheses when necessary.

PEROVSKITES: HIGH-FUNCTIONING SEMICONDUCTORS FOR SOLAR CELLS
September 2016Â - December 2019
Worked for Dr. James Neilson at Colorado State University on creating a novel synthesis of the solid solution formamidinium- cesium lead bromide, a halide hybrid perovskite with photovoltaic applications, through solution and high-temperature methods.
Research experience included purification of a synthesis, creation of a novel synthesis and analysis of the structural behavior and electronic properties of the solid solution.

IMPROVING THE DESIGN OFÂ NANOFIN LED'S
June 2018 - August 2018
Worked for Dr. Babak Nikoobakht at the National Institute for Standards and Technology on enhancing the brightness and wavelength tunability of nanoscale light sources through isolating the nanofin.
Used a focused ion beam, dry etching and wet etching techniques for visual analysis and etching.
Research experience included clean room experience, SEM imaging and handling photosensitive materials.


AN INVESTIGATION INTO FUNCTIONAL TRANSPORT MATERIALS
May 2019 - August 2019
Worked for Dr. Tyrel McQueen and Dr. W. Adam Phelan at the Platform for the Accelerated Realization, Analysis, and Discovery of Interface Materials (PARADIM) at Johns Hopkins University.
Worked on novel crystal growths and synthesis of technologically relevant materials, like kondo insulators and thermoelectric materials.
Contributed to electronic and magnetic property measurements. Research experience included various crystal growth methods like low-temperature chemical vapor transport and floating zone crystal growth.

DESIGNING AND TEACHING COMPUTER SCIENCE

Worked for REX Academy, a computer science-focused institution, and explored many coding and gaming languages such as Python, Flowlab, Adobe Suite, Scratch, and Minecraft.
Taught elementary school, middle school, and high school students, with class sizes ranging from 30 to 2 students.
Designed a new digital arts course, breaking down advanced Adobe Suite knowledge to a high school audience, focused on combining technological understanding with creativity.
